The head coach Samira Hurem, the captain Milena Nikolić and the defensive player Melisa Hasanbegović answered the reporters’ questions.
Samira Hurem thanked media representatives for their support and stated:
“We are motivated and want to win points at the start of qualifications. We worked well in the preparation period. There are no longer frivolous teams in women’s football, everyone works and invests. Georgia is an experienced team that has been together for several years, but we have a better rating and I expect to win.”
Hurem also added:
“I believe in our team, our home pitch and our fans. Our team has been on an upward trajectory since 2011, but now young players are here and the process of creating a stable team is still ongoing. Our goal is the third place in the group. It won’t be easy to accomplish that, but we will do our best.”
Milena Nikolić also expects points at the opening of qualifications:
“The atmosphere in the team is great and we could hardly wait for the competition to start. Although we have a young team, it is very talented and has great potential. Our biggest advantage is compactness on the pitch. We have analysed our opponent; we know what lies ahead. The most important thing is to open qualifications by winning and I believe we will succeed in that.”
Melisa Hasanbegović expects support from the stands:
“We have been doing well since the beginning of the gathering. We expect a lot from this match. We respect our opponent, but if we take into account our quality, I believe we will open the qualifications in the best way. We have always had support from the Training Centre stands and I am sure it will not be failed against Georgia.”
The Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Georgia match is scheduled for tomorrow at 17:00 h at the FF BH Training Centre in Zenica. Entrance to the stands is free.
