The head of the technical staff of the Sarajevo team, Samira Hurem, said on the eve of this match:
“This season, Iskra has shown that this is a serious and quality team. We beat them 4:0 in the championship, but regardless of that result, the opponent had his chances and it was not an easy match. I expect a good match in which both teams will give their maximum. The Cup final is an important match for all of us and we don’t need a bigger motive than that.”
Samir Vrban, the coach of Iskra, points out that his team is ready:
“By qualifying for the finals, we have made a great success. We hope for a positive result and we will do our best to achieve that. SFK 2000 is the favourite and they are certainly the best team in the country. However, we are not going to Zenica with a white flag, but we want to compete. The players are ready and we are coming with the strongest line-up. We should not waste words on the qualities of the opponent, but it is up to us to do our best, and then to see what that will bring us.”
Tomorrow’s match will be refereed by Tanja Račić from Banja Luka, and she will be assisted by Tamara Došen from Prijedor and Merima Tanović from Mostar. The match delegate is Jelena Školnik from Prnjavor, and the referee observer is Adnan Alispahić from Zenica.
On the way to the finals, the players of SFK 2000 Sarajevo beat Radnik from Bijeljina 4:0 in the quarterfinals, while the semi-final match with Emina was not played, so the “Burgundy” team won with the official result 3:0.
Iskra beat Modriča 4:0 in the quarterfinals, and Banja Luka 2:0 in the semi-finals.
