The trophy was won by the players of SFK 2000 Sarajevo, who beat Emina Mostar 4:1 in the final.
Sarajevo players entered the match very offensively and after two missed opportunities in the 6th minute, they gained the advantage, when Maja Jelčić entered the opponent’s penalty area from the left side and sent the ball into the opposite corner for 1:0. Jelčić assisted Kristina Tanasković in the 10th minute, who doubled the advantage of SFK 2000. Maja Jelčić was in an exceptional mood for the game, scoring the third goal for her team in the 44th minute with a precise shot from the edge of the penalty area.
In the second half, the Mostar players showed that they were not accidentally in the finals, and with a good game they managed to reduce the advantage of SFK 2000. In the 54th minute, Elma Husić performed a great free kick from thirty meters and scored a nice goal.
The first name of the final match was Maja Jelčić, who did great in the opponent’s penalty area and scored another goal for the final 4:1 in the 71st minute.
The match was followed by the ceremony of announcing the winners, and the cups and medals were handed over to the finalists by a member of the BH FF Competition Committee, Vladimir Glavaš.
SFK 2000 coach Samira Hurem was pleased with what her players showed in today’s game:
“I am sure that the audience could enjoy today’s match, which was played in a beautiful atmosphere. We were dominant in the first half and we showed quality. I would like to thank the Emina team for a good and fair game. We were a little less serious in the second half, but after we received a goal, we started playing again. We worked hard to win trophies and I’m glad for the girls. Congratulations on today’s game. This is the eighteenth title and it is not easy to do. There were a lot of fans there today, our female cadet national team players also attended the match, and everything gave a special charm to the final match.”
Emina coach Zijo Tojaga said:
“In the first half, the opponent was much better, because we somehow fail to break out of the players that fear and respect for SFK 2000. Certainly, they deserved it with their games and results, and before the match we announced that they were absolute favourites. That was showed in the first half, while we played very well in the second period. Considering how many problems we have with injuries, and that we use 12 players for almost the entire season, we can say that it is a great success for us that we reached the finals and that we are second on the table in the championship.”
