Victory for the end of the qualifications

Female juniors qualified for the Elite Qualifying Round!

The women’s junior team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won Armenia today with 3:0 in the Ethnic Village of Stanišići, thus qualifying for the elite qualifying round for the 2020 European Championship.

The goals for the BH team were scored by Selma Hasić in the 36th, Ajla Zukić in the 62nd and Elma Husić in the 84th minute.

The selected players of Dragan Jevtić had a field initiative throughout the match and had more opportunities to score.

The BH team made 27 shots to the opponent’s goal, while the Armenians shot only 4 times.

Following today’s match, the head coach Dragan Jevtić said:

“We did a great thing for women’s football in our country. I would like to thank the complete management of the FF BH for their support we have had since the first day. Congratulations to the whole technical staff. However, most of the credit for this success carry players, they really fought during the whole tournament. Today’s match was tough. It was not easy to prepare the team after demanding matches in the first two rounds. The girls gave the last atom of power and that is the key to this success.”

In the second match of the group, Belgium beat Sweden 1:0.

Belgium finished this tournament first with a maximum of 9 points ahead of Sweden and B&H, which won 4 each, and Armenia, which was defeated in all three matches.

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina finished qualifications as one of the 4 best third-placed teams and thus reached the elite qualifying round.
