Repeat a good game from the first round

The women’s junior national team will do one training session today at the NK Branitelj Stadium in Mostar, and tomorrow the team of Dragan Jevtić will play the second round of the qualifying B6 Group for the European Championship against the national team of Estonia.

National team player Elma Smajić expects the team to repeat the quality game from the first round in which a convincing victory over Armenia was achieved:

“We played a great first match, fully complied with the agreement from the dressing room and the result could not be missed. I expect us to play tomorrow’s match in the same way and achieve a new victory. We have quality and I believe there will be no problems.”

Smajic adds that it is a great honour for her to perform in a jersey with the national coat of arms:

“It means a lot to me to be part of the national team. Especially because I come from Sweden, and I always wanted to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina. My family is also overjoyed, because I play for the national team, and for me this is a great honour and I always give more than the maximum in a jersey with the national coat of arms.”

Vanessa Šabanović scored two goals against Armenia, but she highlights the team in the foreground:

“The first game was perfect on our part. From the beginning, we were the only ones who ruled over the pitch and with a great team game we came to a convincing victory. I scored two goals, but if the team was not at the level, it would not be worth anything. I am sure that we will be efficient tomorrow against Estonia and that we will reach new points. We all agree that we are the favourites in this group and we have to show that on the pitch and present our country in the best way.”

The Bosnia and Herzegovina-Estonia match is scheduled for tomorrow at 14:30 h at the Pecara Stadium in Široki Brijeg.
