This camp was part of preparations for the European Championship qualifiers in February, with players competing in two practice games.
Besides regular team members, coach Ivan Kvesić and his associates had the opportunity to evaluate several new candidates for the WU-17 team.
“We’ve had a very successful camp. Despite the league break, the girls arrived in great shape and maintained a good physical level. We’ve got no complaints about their effort, everything went really well. All the new players from abroad that we called up showed quality, and three or four of them will likely be included in the qualifiers. I’d like to thank all the players for their dedication, hard work, and conduct during this event.” said Kvesić.
He also shared his thoughts on the qualification group: “The timing is a bit unusual, as we’ll be playing in February, but we’ll be ready. Romania, the host, has a strong team and has achieved good results recently. Latvia is also a solid opponent. I have no doubts about our quality and believe we can secure first place to advance to League A. That’s our goal, and we’re ready to give our best to achieve it.”
The B4 tournament will take place from February 19-25 at the Romanian Football Federation’s Sports Center in Buftea.
