Bosnia and Herzegovina national futsal team will be participating in a World Cup qualifying tournament from 10 – 13 Dec. in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The team did their three-day training session in Zenica.

Coach Boro Matan: "We've done everything we planned. We've invited several younger players to check them out, but also to refresh the team. The boys did well, we only missed Bevanda and Sunjic. We hope they will be available for the tournament.

We got very similar group as last time in the European Championship qualifications. Our opponents this time are Netherlands, Latvia, and instead of Russia, this time we got Spain. The first game with the Netherlands will determine who will advance to the play-offs. Their advantage is home field, but I believe we can finish second place with our fans' support who have announced they will cheer for us in Eindhoven."

Captain Nijaz Mulahmetovic commented the whole situation: "We've tried to make the most out of these three days in Zenica and at the same time to get to know new players. We're trying to be in the best shape for upcoming World Cup qualifications. I believe the young players will fit in, feel the ambiance and help us with their knowledge.

The group is very difficult, and opponents are seriously preparing as well. Netherlands won one out of two friendly games against Portugal, which is one of the best European teams, which should be good indication it's a serious team. We beat Latvia before, and I expect the same this time, however Spain is the favorite team in the group."

Dejan Pavlovic had to skip previous gatherings due to injury, but now he hopes this time he will be ready to help the team.
