This completes the project that these two associations have been successfully implementing since 2019.
The “Girls Football Coaching Course” Project included the education of female coaches, as well as the development of grassroots football for girls from 7 to 12 years of age. 70 female coaches successfully completed the program, and 15 new clubs were formed in Bosnia and Herzegovina in different age categories.
The final seminar was attended by 18 coaches who were familiar with the basic values in youth football and the importance of training for health.
Senior expert for women’s football in the BH FF, Ivana Vlaić, said:
“With this seminar, we completed the “Girls Football Coaching Course” Project, which we successfully organized in the past period in cooperation with the Norwegian FA. Their work experiences have helped us a lot, both in the education of female coaches and in increasing interest in women’s football. The BH FF will continue to support the work of the female coaches who attended this course. Also, our goal was to encourage as many girls as possible to play football, and we were successful in that as well, so we will remain on that path in the future.”
In conclusion, the successful implementation of the “Girls Football Coaching Course” Project in cooperation between the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation and the Football Association of Norway represents a significant step towards the improvement of women’s football in our country. This initiative not only enriched the base of female coaches, but also created new opportunities for girls to get involved in the world of sports, thus achieving the long-term goal of supporting and developing women’s football in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
