With this event, the BH FF started celebrating the UEFA Grassroots Week.
The results were not in the foreground, and the girls spent time with good fun and socializing.
Jelena Milović, a coach in the technical staff of the WU-17 national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who today led the “South” team from the bench, conveys her impressions from the tournament:
“A very nice event. A large number of girls on the pitch is something that we coaches love the most and that is the most beautiful thing. It was important to us that all girls get the opportunity and enjoy themselves. They also had the opportunity to show themselves so that we, coaches, also had something to see because we have many talents at our disposal. That’s what makes us especially happy.”
The BH FF grassroots manager Bojan Aćimović stated:
“We are glad that today we had the opportunity to see many girls enjoying the game. As every year, the BH FF joins the celebration of UEFA Grassroots Week with events for the youngest football fans. In this regard, today’s tournament is just the beginning, because we have six more events planned for different categories, which we will organize throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are sure that they will also have a nice atmosphere like today and that the participants of these events will take home nice memories.”
The Grassroots Program means football for everyone regardless of gender, race, religion and nationality. In addition to Zenica, the UEFA Grassroots Week is marked this year with events in Derventa, East Sarajevo, Bugojno, Mostar, Trebinje and Tuzla.
