The Grassroots Program includes football for everyone regardless of gender, race, religion and nationality, and this year 6 events will be attended by girls and boys aged 9 to 12 from 40 clubs and football schools from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Two of the 6 scheduled events have already taken place. The celebration of Grassroots Week started yesterday in Sokolac, and continued today in Mostar, about which the FF BH senior expert associate for football development, Dženan Đipa, said:
“This is a regular event that the FF BH organizes every year in cooperation with UEFA, which promotes grassroots football, in order to affirm this beautiful sport. This year, we are gathering a large number of children from all over B&H, which shows that we are a socially responsible organization, but also that football is a universal sport for both girls and boys. Two events have already been held, from which the youngest participants went home with a smile on their faces. That is a great satisfaction for us and we are sure that the atmosphere will be equally beautiful in the coming days.”
In the next four days, festivals will be held in Rudo, Zenica, Orašje and Banja Luka.
