The conference is an introduction to the FF BH mentioned project approved by UEFA, within which various workshops, trainings, tournaments and educational programs are planned.
In this regard, the FF BH project manager Dženan Đipa and the expert associate for the football development Ivana Vlaić visited today the migrant camps “Borići”, “Bira” and “Sedra” in Bihać.
“We are aware of the fact that most migrants have survived a difficult period of life, and that they come from the countries affected by the war, so through football we want to improve their quality of life at least a little bit”, says the leader of this project, Dženan Đipa.
“Today, we visited three camps where we were convinced that there were all the necessary conditions to implement this project. Through sports, it is much easier to make new friendships, fit in with the environment and connect with people”, continues Đipa and adds that in this way it is possible to break down prejudices about them, because the project will cover everyone from ten to 30 years of age, regardless of religion, nationality, skin colour, or gender.
The project will last until next year and will be implemented by the FF BH in cooperation with local communities. The goal is, first of all, to enable migrants to engage in sports activities through which they would be easier and faster to integrate into the social environment.
Tomorrow's conference, on behalf of the FF BH, will be attended by the director of the sports sector Elmir Pilav and project manager Dženan Đipa, IOM representative in B&H Kristina Šešlija, and Des Tomlinson from the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) will share his experiences via video link, together with Kurt Wacher and David Hudelist, representatives of fair-play - Initiative for Diversity & Antidiscrimination from Austria, as well as colleagues from the region.
Representatives of relevant institutions and ministries from Una-Sana Canton, as well as members of the USC Football Association, and the USC association of football referees and instructors were also invited to the conference, and invitations were also sent to clubs NK “Jedinstvo”, OFK “Bihać”, FK “Krajina”, NK “Krajišnik”.
