Special Olympics Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FFBiH), is organizing the Special Olympics BiH National Inclusive Football Championship, which will be held on June 4, 2026, in Brčko as part of the European Football Week celebrations.
The competition will bring together teams and athletes from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is being organized with the goal of promoting inclusive sports, developing community partnerships, and creating greater opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to actively participate in sporting activities.
The national championship in Brčko is being organized by Special Olympics BiH in cooperation with FFBiH, while the technical aspect of the event is being carried out by the Third Primary School Brčko Public Institution.
European Football Week is one of the most significant international initiatives for Special Olympics in Europe and Eurasia, through which sporting activities and inclusive football events are organized every year across many countries with the support of national football associations, local communities, and partner organizations.
Through inclusive football, Special Olympics Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to develop cooperation aimed at promoting equal opportunities in sport, strengthening social inclusion, and affirming sport as a space for connection, teamwork, and mutual respect.
