Three events have been held as part of this year’s program; A festival for girls and boys was organized in Čajniče on September 23 in cooperation with FK Stakorina and the BiH Olympic Committee. Two days later, ŽFK Leotar organized a women’s football festival in Trebinje. A festival for girls and boys was also held on September 26 at City Stadium in Ilijaš together with SF Tempo.
FFBiH Grassroots Manager Bojan Aćimović pointed out the importance of these activities: “We want as many girls and boys as possible to have the opportunity to take their first steps in football in an environment where they feel welcome. Through play and socializing, children get to know football, make new friends and develop a love for sport. We’re particularly pleased that we organize these activities in different communities and that local clubs, schools and our partners take part. Their support helps us reach as many children as possible and encourage them to continue training after the festivals end.”
UEFA Grassroots Week activities will continue in Cazin, Livno, Novo Goražde, Sokolac, Mostar and Banja Luka.
