An inclusive training session involving FK Kozara youth teams and members of the “Duga” Association of Parents of Children with Autism was held at the Velimir Sombolac stadium in Gradiška on October 28. Through joint activities on the green, participants sent the message that sport should be accessible to everyone and that football provides an opportunity for socializing, mutual understanding and acceptance of differences.
A day later, veteran football activities and a children’s football festival were held in Sokolac in cooperation with FK Glasinac. These activities brought together different generations of football enthusiasts, highlighting the importance of taking part in sport from an early age, as well as maintaining an active lifestyle and friendships through veteran football.
FFBiH Grassroots Manager Bojan Aćimović pointed out the importance of such events: “Through the UEFA Grassroots program, which the Federation implements throughout our country, we want to enable as many people as possible to be part of football, regardless of age, ability or previous experience. The joint training session in Gradiška showed how much sport can contribute to mutual understanding and inclusion in the community, while the activities in Sokolac connected children’s joy of playing with the love of football that veterans have maintained for years. We thank FK Kozara, the Duga Association and FK Glasinac for their cooperation and contribution to promoting these values.”
The FFBiH will continue implementing the UEFA Grassroots program through activities that encourage participation in football, develop sporting spirit and strengthen cooperation with local communities.
