The Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, in cooperation with the Football Federation of Norway, within the project “Girls Football Coaching Course”, has organized seminars for female football coaches in the past six days at the BH FF Training Centre in Zenica.
The “Girls Football Coaching Course” Project includes the education of female coaches, as well as the development of grassroots football for girls from 7 to 12 years of age.
The first generation of female coaches, who started their education last year, completed the course and the participants received diplomas. In two-day seminar, the coaches were introduced to the basic values in youth football, the importance of training for health, and how to get the best out of the players.
In the second part of the week, a new generation of female coaches started working, who in four days attended lectures on children’s football, the role of coaches, and how to organize quality coaching activities. In addition to theory, several sessions of practical work with children on the pitch were organized for the female coaches.
The aim of the course is to encourage as many young girls to play football and the BH FF, with the support of FA Norway, seeks to educate female coaches and introduce them to various activities related to working with the youngest ages.
