WU-17 EURO in schools throughout B&H

During the UEFA European Championship for girls under 17, which was held in our country, the BH FF started a project to include in football girls from 10 to 12 years of age in 30 schools from the cities that hosted the EURO.

With the support of the BH FF, teachers in schools run this program in which girls have the opportunity to enjoy football and various games. During the EURO, the schoolgirls attended the matches, and with the support and cheering from the stands, they made the final of the European Championship pass in a beautiful and cheerful atmosphere.

The BH FF grassroots manager, Ivana Vlaić, says about this project:

“The organization of the EURO for female cadets itself has brought many benefits to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to our Federation. We used all that positive ambience that prevailed during the competition itself to bring football even closer to the schoolgirls in elementary schools in Sarajevo, Zenica, Mostar and Široki Brijeg. The reactions we encountered were phenomenal and it was nice to see all these girls enjoying this game. In that way, we have taken another step towards the massification and popularization of football in Bosnia and Herzegovina among the female population.”

The BH FF donated balls and equipment to schools, and in the following period it is planned to implement a similar program in other cities in B&H as well.

The project is implemented in the following schools: ES (Elementary School) Drežnica, ES Bijelo Polje, ES Gnojnice, ES Mustafa Ejubović Šejh Jujo, IV ES, ES Mujaga Komadina ES, Ivan Gundulić, ES Antun Branko Šimić, Third ES, ES Silvija Strahimir Kranjčević and Mali Most ( all Mostar), First ES and Second ES (Široki Brijeg), ES Hasan Kaimija, ES Hamdija Kreševljaković, ES Avdo Smajlović, ES Nafija Sarajlić, ES Šip, ES Osman Nuri Hadžić, ES Behaudin Selmanović, ES Sokolje, ES Zajko Delić, Second ES Ilidža, Fifth ES Ilidža, Eighth ES Amer Ćenanović, French School, ES Pofalići, First ES Ilidža and ES Mirsad Prnjavorac (Sarajevo) and ES Skender Kulenović (Zenica).
