In the last three days FK Zeljeznicar has been constantly questioning the regularity of the Premier League championship, as well as FFBIH's work. These charges were further reinforced with extraordinary press conference which was organized by FK Zeljeznicar and its president Almir Gredic.
Charges followed the match with NK Siroki Brijeg, where club respresentatives claimed referees' erroneus decisions during the match put Zeljeznicar at a disadvantage. However at the emergency meeting following these accusations, FFBIH referee committee analyzed referees' decisions both good and bad.
However, after the session, FK Zeljeznicar and its leadership continued with unfounded accusations, and on top of that started to question the regularity of all FFBIH competitions held in the past two years, BH Telecom sponsorship, as well as decisions regarding contests the youth category. In doing so, FK Zeljeznicar forgot to specify FFBIH's positive activities, aimed at long-term stability and benefits for all Premier League clubs, including FK Zeljeznicar.
When it comes to the regularity of FFBIH's championships in the past two years, FFBIH received generally positive assessments. Everyone involved in this work from clubs, to the general public and sports authorities said the last season was exceptional in almost every way. After all, Zeljeznicar turned the blind eye when they were on the upswing which is why it's not polite to deny other clubs' successes and trophies.
FFBIH would like to remind the clubs that there are valid authorities and committees in charge of examining the championship regularities and no clubs should ever make unfounded and unprofessional claims by itself without prior expertise. FFBIH executive board will examine the current state of Premier League championship and accordingly inform the public of their conclusions and decisions.
Further addressing the allegations, we remind that FFBIH has done plenty for many football clubs in BIH. For example all Zeljeznicar's club officials' costs (in the amount of 44,418.97 KM) were covered by sponsorship contracts, Zeljeznicar's youth division received 35,700 KM last year thanks to UEFA and FFBIH. The club was also granted financial aid on two occasions in 2013 and '14 amounting to total of 20,000 KM, followed by an installment worth 23,000 KM which was paid this year following General Assembly's decision from last year. FFBIH also secured 174,000 KM for Zeljeznicar through UEFA's infrasturctural project last year, and that's not all - Zeljeznicar should soon receive additional 15,000 KM for TV rights and broadcasts. Having said that, it's evident Zeljeznicar received significant help from FFBIH but they must realize that despite the results, they are not the only football club in our country. It's FFBIH's duty to support others as well all within the principles of solidarity.
Also, it should be noted that additional accusations regarding youth competitions (which falls under different jurisdiction) are certainly not related to us because according to our Statute, FFBIH is not in charge of those competitions, but were brought into the context of this unfortunate campaign against FFBIH.
