In Zvijezda 09 they want better results in the spring

Category: News

Debutants in the Premiere Youth U-19 League, the juniors (U-19) of Zvijezda 09, after the first part of the competition are ranked 6th in the table with 22 points.

The team from the Ethno Village Stanišići achieved 6 wins, 4 draws and 3 defeats, with a goal difference 28:15.

The new head coach of the U-19 team of Zvijezda, Miodrag Pantelić, wants better results in the spring:

“Given that we are debutants in this competition, we can be satisfied with the achieved results. I did not lead the team in the first part of the championship, but I looked at some matches and I know what I can expect in the continuation. Every start is difficult and in this regard, I think that what the U-19 team of Zvijezda achieved in this season is right, but we will strive to make a step forward in the spring.”

This Serbian expert says that the team had quality checks in the winter break:

“From the start of these preparations, we started with strong control matches. Our goal was to see where we are in relation to the strongest teams in the region. In this way, it is best to get an insight into the capabilities of the team. I must point out that the guys worked well during the preparation period.”

In addition to the result success, Pantelić wants to prepare players for the senior team:

“In the continuation we expect better games and results compared to autumn. We will try to get closer to Sarajevo and Željezničar, which are in the first two positions. Also, we want to affirm 2 or 3 players who could be standard in the first team next season. That would be a really great success for us.”

The midfielder Marko Brkić also expects better matches in the continuation:

“We certainly expect much better results than in the first part of the championship. Then we had a lot of problems with injuries and we were not complete in most matches. So far, we have had strong checks with strong teams from this area. There have been several reinforcements to the club, and we impatiently look forward to the continuation of the competition.”

Luka Asentić with 12 goals leads the club list of scorers. Marko Brkić scored 5 goals, while Sergej Dojčinović and Dejan Živković scored the 2 goals. Vladan Mandić, Danijel Matić, Husein Musić, Filip Svjetlanović, Goran Šujić and Kristijan Tojčić entered the list of scorers once.
