Iskra can reach the second place

Category: News

After the first part of the competition’s season 2017/18, ŽFK Iskra from Bugojno is on the third place of the BH Premier Women's League with 21 points.

The Iskra football players achieved 6 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats, with a goal difference of 29:10.

The head coach Samir Vrban believes that his team can advance for one position:

“We ended up the first half-season with a point behind the second-placed Radnik. I think we have the quality to finish the championship in the second place, even though Radnik is a strong team and it is not by chance in the top of women’s football in BH. Our goal is also to connect as many players as possible from our youth team to the first senior team. In the preparation matches, we gave the opportunity to young players and they showed that we could count on them.”

Samira Goretić leads the list of scorers of Iskra with 8 goals, followed by Marina Lukić with 6. Svjetlana Crnjak, Merima Gradinović and Ulmija Lužić scored 3, while Sabina Behrem, Nikolina Dijaković and Mevlida Forić scored one goal.
