“Those performances surely brought a lot of certain positive things. It is a great honour and privilege to be a member of the national team, especially in such a company with the names that BH has. You cannot ignore the fact that after that you become a little more interesting to some coaches and football people.”
How he experienced his first appearance, he explains with a smile:
“I could not say that I had jitters, I’d rather say it was some positive nervousness. Perhaps this is because we were all domestic league’s players, so we know each other more or less, and it was easier to overcome this start. Now, when all the team members come, I can only repeat that I will be honoured to personally meet with them, to share the dressing room and to play.”
The BH Telecom League started with a play-off for the champion and the player of “Sarajevo” considers:
“We did not justify what we all hoped for. We missed some opportunities; we did not realize everything we had imagined. We are not in some fabulous situation, but we have to get out as soon as possible with all our knowledge. We are currently fighting for the third place that leads us to Europe and I hope that, with the maximum engagement of all of us, we can realize it.”
A new system of competition with fewer clubs seems particularly interesting to Sarić as a player:
“I think this is a positive change, especially in the league for the champion, where every round is a derby, every match is uncertain. No one can say with certainty that they will win in each match, which adds to the charm, and this uncertainty surely attracts a greater number of spectators.”
