After today's defeat by Germany, BiH Under-17 national team coach Sakib Malkocevic spoke to the press:
"It's hard when you receive a goal at the very beginning of a match, especially if it's against Germany. When we received the second goal it was hard to bounce back. We played better in the second half, we had favorable ball possession, and we were practically an equal opponent. However the mistakes in our defense lead us to defeat. We knew that Germany is the favorite team, but we didn't expect such a convincing result.
The next two matches will be against teams which are at our level. We'll try to recover from this heavy loss and play two quality games. We need a psychological boost and prepare the team for the rest of the championship."
Captain Rijad Sadiku:
"We had to play better. I hope this was just a moment of weakness, because we have to perform way better in the upcoming games. Germany took of all their opportunities. On a few occasions we played good, but the opponent was more resourceful. In any case, the team's morale shouldn't drop, and we must not give up on our goals. There are two more games ahead and still nothing's lost."
