Mario Vrancic, a potential national football team addition, has visited FFBIH this morning where he talked about relevant legal procedures with general secretary Jasmin Bakovic, technical director Denijal Piric, head of competitions department Elmir Pilav and general services department director Nijaz Merdanovic. He will officially apply for BIH citizenship today.
He was born on May 23rd 1989, currently plays for Paderbord (Germany) and speaks about our national football with enthusiasm: "I know a lot about team, Ermin (Bicakcic) said how atmosphere in the team is great. I watched all World Cup mathes, including the last one against Israel. I'll be very happy to play for the national team, and I will work hard to draw attention to myself."
FFBIH can apply for Vrancic's sports citizenship in FIFA, but only after he gets Bosnia and Herzegovina's citizenship. General secretary Bakovic added: "It's important to comply with all procedures, we will do whatever's necessary of course, and ultimately I believe Vrancic could be granted a sports citizenship by the end of March next year."
