The meeting between Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and BH Telecom Premier League club representatives was held at the hotel Park in Vogosca today. FFBIH president Elvedin Begic and general secretary Jasmin Bakovic opened the meeting which was also attended by vice-presidents Darko Ljubojevic and Ivan Beus.
Competitions and event management director Elmir Pilav presented two possible competition modalities for the season 2016/17 - a three-match system and a two-part system. Competitions committee president Sejdo Zukanovic presented this body's opinion on the matter.
The first system includes 33 rounds where each team plays three times against other teams. Two-part system includes 32 rounds - each team plays two games, after which the league would be divided in two (league for champions and league for survival). Both sub-leagues would be consisted of six clubs.
After a comprehensive discussion, 8 representatives assessed the three-match system as more acceptable, while the other system was backed by 4 clubs. The final decision will be made at the next FFBIH executive board meeting on June 21st.
