The first season of unified futsal league has been finished, and team Centar from Sarajevo earned the championship title.
They played a draw tonight (2:2) with team Tango at the Ramiz Salcin sports hall. FFBIH president Elvedin Begic and general secretary Jasmin Bakovic handed over the trophies and medals at the winning ceremony. Club president Dzevad Muminovic presented Begic and Bakovic with commendations for their support.
"First season has been a great success. The organization and the quality of this championship have been high profile; FFBIH made a right call when they established this competition. We finished without single defeat, and that makes us statistically the best team, and I think we earned this title", said captain Nijaz Mulahmetovic.
The goalkeeper Bahrudin Omerbegovic shares his thoughts: "This unified futsal league has been great, it's a shame it wasn't established sooner. I'd like to thank FFBIH for endorsing this project, and I'm really happy my team is the champion. We showed everyone we're the best, but the credit goes not only to the players but to the whole staff and club leadership as well."
Centar had 50 points more than Tango (43), and will represent our country at the UEFA Futsal Cup later. Galaktikosi and Karaka will leave the league for now.
