During the last qualifying match with Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina's midfielder Muhamed Besic was sent off after receiving a red card, meaning UEFA will suspend him for the next match.

In this regard, Besic said: "I express deep regrets and sincere apologies to all fans, teammates, coach, as well as FFBIH and its staff for my behavior during the match with Andorra. My reckless action was the result of Andorra's provocative and rough tactics, but I'm aware there's no excuse for such behavior and I know I have to bear the consequences. I hope that UEFA will have mitigating circumstances in mind and that I will be again part of our team soon."
