The head of the technical staff of the U-19 team of Željezničar, Omer Joldić, says on the first part of the competition:

“We played on two fronts, in the championship and in the UEFA Youth League. We can generally be satisfied with our performances. Only Zrinjski won us in the championship and this happened after the match with Ludogorets when we were emotionally and physically emptied. With a little more luck we were able to win Vitez and Široki Brijeg, but we had a draw. We are 6 points behind Sarajevo and I hope that we will get this backlog, although it will be very difficult because they also have a quality team. We will do our best to be champions again.”

Joldic is satisfied with the work of players on preparations:

“Due to the play-off of the UEFA Youth League, we started with preparations somewhat earlier than other teams. We did one part in Makarska, and the weather conditions were very well in Sarajevo. We also played several strong matches, as against Hajduk Split, who is the first in the U-19 League of Croatia. We do not have injured players, and we are especially happy about it. We are ready to continue the competition.”

Omer Joldic commented on the performance of his team in the UEFA Youth League:

“It was a really fantastic experience. Whoever is the champion of this season, I want him to achieve better results and raise the bar to an even higher level. It was proved once again that this region is rich in talents and the only obstacle in the development of young athletes is poor infrastructure. This is something that the Federation and the clubs could hardly solve themselves, and local communities must also be involved.”

The best scorer this autumn was Semir Dacić with 11 goals, while Ahmed Hasanović scored only one goal less. Amar Beširević scored 5, Anes Demirović and Eldar Šehić 4, while Ismar Midžić and Kemal Mujarić scored 2 goals. Bilal Brajlović, Tarik Karišik, Alen Nuhanović and Dženan Osmanović entered the scorer list once.
