Following the incidents during our team's stay in Athens, which certainly cannot be called hospitality, we would like to express our protest and regret. Appreciating the appropriate response from Greece, we're ready to build a sports and friendly relations between two football federations in the future.
We're sorry that our fans, celebrating the goal, made an "unsportsmanlike conduct". Their behavior were inappropriate, but understandable considering the provocations, offensive banners and nationalistic chants were coming from Greek fans, all of which was the reason for such reaction. Fortunately, great support overwhelmed that moment and thanks to the strong impulse from the stands, we've reached a result that keeps us in the game for the final tournament.
However, the fact that we were still welcomed in such a bad way, makes us sad and worried. We're aware that FIFA will fine all unsportsmanlike behaviors and everything else that wasn't carried out according to the rules and regulations.
We hope that FIFA will have our fans' emotions in mind, but also the fact that two associations are objectively on the same path. Therefore, we want to be good hosts in the second leg, and welcome all our opponents as formidable rivals and friends.
