Earlier today, at the headquarters of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, representatives from six football clubs signed agreements formalizing the distribution of financial and material support. This marks the official implementation of a resolution adopted by the FFBiH's Executive Board, chaired by President Vico Zeljković.
The initiative involves the allocation of resources secured by FFBiH through its application to UEFA’s Emergency Grants programme, as well as a donation of sports equipment from the German Football Association (DFB). The total financial assistance from UEFA amounts to €50,000, which will be distributed among six clubs whose facilities sustained significant damage due to severe weather conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2024.
The following clubs will receive the allocated funds: FK Klis (Buturović Polje), NK Kiseljak (Kiseljak), NK Brnjaci (Brnjaci-Kiseljak), NK Kreševo (Kreševo), FK Turbina (Jablanica), and FK Fojnica (Fojnica).
General Secretary Adnan Džemidžić signed the agreements on behalf of the FFBiH and emphasized the importance of timely intervention and solidarity within the football community: "Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, the Federation responded quickly through institutional mechanisms and international cooperation. We are grateful to UEFA for approving the funding and, to the German Football Association for their generous donation of equipment. This reflects FFBiH's and its partners' ongoing commitment to supporting clubs in times of difficulty and always providing tangible assistance where it is most needed."
NK Kiseljak Director Pero Pecirep expressed his appreciation for the support: "Unfortunately, the extreme weather conditions last October caused substantial damage to many clubs. Any form of assistance is immensely valuable, and this support will greatly aid us in repairing our stadiums and football facilities affected by the flooding. I'd like to thank FFBiH for its efforts in helping clubs deal with these problems."
In addition to financial assistance, all of the listed clubs will receive a considerable amount of sports equipment donated by the DFB. This support is part of a broader effort by FFBiH to aid in the restoration of damaged infrastructure and ensure the continuation of competitive activities.
The Federation extends its gratitude to UEFA and the German Football Association for their support and reaffirms its dedication to assisting clubs across the country, especially in emergency situations that endanger essential sporting infrastructure.
