The completion of the conceptual design for the national stadium in Zenica marks the beginning of one of the most significant projects in the history of our Federation. In the coming years, it will bring modern working conditions for all national teams and long-term improvements to the football environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, FFBiH President Vico Zeljković said: "I’m pleased to share that the conceptual design for the national stadium in Zenica is complete. It’s the foundation for the upcoming infrastructure project of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, based on which we’ll develop the preliminary and main design. We expect the full project documentation to be finalized by August 2026, after which we plan to begin construction.
This is a long-term step forward for the development of BiH football and the creation of better conditions for all national teams, as well as a new home for NK Čelik. The financing model is yet to be defined, but we’re already considering several sustainable options that could ensure full project realization. We’ll continue working ambitiously, strategically, and responsibly."
