The signing was attended by FFBiH president Vico Zeljković, with the agreement signed by General Secretary Adnan Džemidžić and Zenica mayor Fuad Kasumović.
The national stadium will be built at the current Bilino Polje site, with reconstruction taking place in phases to meet all UEFA and FIFA standards for hosting international matches at the highest level. The agreement also includes the participation of the Zenica-Doboj Canton as a partner in financing and preparing necessary documentation.
FFBiH is going to lead all activities related to the project, including the conceptual and main design, while the City of Zenica will assemble a professional team to be actively involved in drafting and approving the project solutions. A joint body with representatives from FFBiH, the City of Zenica, and the Zenica-Doboj Canton will be formed soon to coordinate all project implementation activities.
This project marks a major step forward in strengthening the football infrastructure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, creating better conditions for the national "A" team's matches.
