Football Association of Montenegro was host to the third regional football association meeting, which was held today at the hotel Avala in Budva. Besides Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, football associations of Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Romania (eleven in total) were also present.

New members of the group have signed a memo on cooperation (initially signed by the six founding associations in Ljubljana earlier this year) which aims to strengthen the friendly relations, preserving the integrity and fighting all negative occurrences in football.

During today's meeting, association representatives also paid tribute and expressed their gratitude to UEFA's president Michel Platini for everything he's done for the prosperity of European and global football, and at the same time he was given full support in his fight to prove his innocence and candidacy for the presidency of FIFA.

Meanwhile, the above-mentioned football associations will file an official request to the FIFA Ethics Committee and other bodies, to act upon the requests of the FIFA Executive Committee and in this case of president Michel Platini make valid decisions on an accelerated basis, while particularly respecting statutory frameworks, procedures and deadlines of the upcoming FIFA electoral process in order not to abuse their authority and influence thus harming the football alltogether.

The group expressed their satisfaction with the UEFA administration and will continue to support it in order to preserve the European home of football work continuity in the future. Participants supported the proposal to increase the UEFA Executive Committee by two new members, who would come from the national associations.

The next meeting is scheduled for the end of January next year, and will be hosted by the Football Association of Serbia.
