The new regional football associations' meeting was held yesterday in Limassol, Cyprus with high representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Russia, Romania and Turkey football federations.
Participants have decided to publicly support Armand Duka and Servet Yardicmi's candidacies in the upcoming elections for the UEFA Executive Committee, which will be held on April 5th in Helsinki, Finland.
All candidates for this position, except David Gill (England) and Marios Lefkaritis (Cyprus) who decided to withdraw from international football politics, introduced themselves in Limassol: Zbigniew Boniek (Poland), Kairat Boranbayev (Kazakhstan), John Delaney (Republic of Ireland), Armand Duka (Albania), Reinhard Grindel (Germany), Elkhan Mammadov (Azerbaijan), Karl-Erik Nilsson (Sweden), Kieran O'Connor (Wales), Michele Uva (Italy), Michael van Praag (Netherlands) and Servet Yardicmi (Turkey).
In the first part of the meeting, UEFA representatives Emilio Garcia and Chris Bonnet held a presentation titled "Betting nad fraud detecting system", while Omar Ongaro from FIFA presented "Third party ownership".
FFBIH was represented by president Elvedin Begić, vice presidents Milorad Sofrenić and Ivan Beus, and general secretary Jasmin Baković.
