Category: News

The regular session of the General Assembly of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation was held today at the Hills Hotel in Ilidža.

The session was opened by the BH FF President Vico Zeljković, who greeted those present with an appropriate speech and said, among other things:

“We set out strongly, bravely, boldly on all fronts with one single goal, to improve football in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The directions in which we operate clearly and uncompromisingly are numerous, all activities have begun, and I can guarantee you from this place that the results of all these directions will soon begin to be fully realized, and we will all be proud of all that we have achieved through the joint work and unreserved support of all structures of the Football Federation.”

Zeljković added:

“In order to give all our ideas a concrete and clear form, we turned our vision into the Strategy of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, on which we have worked diligently in cooperation with the UEFA Grow Team in the past year, and during the month of May, the BH FF Development Strategy for the period from 2022 to 2026 will see the light of day and clearly illuminate the direction in which we will move in the coming period.”

The President also referred to the construction of pitches with hybrid turf:

“One of the basic obligations in improving the football game is defined as improving the infrastructure at football stadiums in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this regard, with the support of UEFA, an unimaginable step was taken to give B&H 12 main pitches with hybrid turf in the coming period. What seemed like a fairy tale will soon become a reality. I am pleased to inform you that all procedures have been completed and concrete work will begin early next month. And we will witness the biggest infrastructural shift that the BH FF has achieved in its decades-long history, and it concerns direct investment in clubs and club infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will again contribute to better work and better results of all national teams.”

Vico Zeljković thanked the representatives of FIFA and UEFA for their wholehearted support to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation.

UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin greeted those present via a video link, pointing out that the previous two years were demanding, not only for football, but for the entire planet, but the ball continued to roll thanks to the efforts of UEFA and all its members. Čeferin pointed out that the BH FF also stood by UEFA, and that he was happy that the European Championship for female cadets will be organized in our country, known for its hospitality.

The meeting was attended by the member of FIFA National Teams Division Lorenzo Cavallari, the Director of UEFA National Associations Zoran Laković and the member of the FIFA Executive Committee Răzvan Burleanu, who pointed out that the world and European umbrella house of football supported the work of the Federation and that they would continue to invest in football development in Bosnia and Herzegovina through various projects.

After the election of the working bodies, the Election Commission stated that all 60 delegates attended the session, so that the Assembly had the necessary quorum for work and decision-making.

After the presentations, the delegates of the Assembly unanimously adopted:

  • BH FF Activity Report for 2021;
  • Report on Execution of the Revenue and Expenditure Plan of the BH FF for 2021;
