Even though the Bosnia and Herzegovina women's national "A" football team lost a friendly match against Ukraine today, our coaching staff can be satisfied with players' performance in this match.
Coach Samira Hurem: "We played a good match. Maybe we were a little scared of Ukraine considering they have a really good team, but our team was more mature in this game plus we've made a lot more chances. Our strategy was to prevent their counterattacks.
We have good players at our disposal, Amela Krso is slowly getting back into shape. Milena Nikolic, Dijana Spasojevic, Nikolina Dijakovic, all of them played brilliantly today. I think we achieved what we were set out to do, but it's unfortunate we received a goal. We should have scored as well, but nevertheless I congratulate my players."
Team member Aida Hadzic: "The match was quite difficult. We were a bit surprised that Ukrainian women were so strong and aggressive, but we quickly came around and managed to resist them. They scored a goal despite our best efforts, while on the other hand we didn't take our advantage which backfired on us. Next comes the qualifying match with Serbia, and I'm sure we'll be ready for that game."
