Samira Hurem: We want to open qualifications with a victory

The BH women’s “A” team players started with preparations for Kazakhstan

The women's “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered yesterday at the Park Hotel in Vogošća, and our best female football players are trained and prepared for the qualification match for the FIFA Women’s World Cup with Kazakhstan at the TC FK Sarajevo in Butmir.

The head coach Samira Hurem wants a positive result at the opening of qualifications:

“We are starting a new qualification cycle and want to win points at the very start. We are better ranked than Kazakhstan, but that does not give us the right to think that the match will be easy. We have to play responsibly and disciplined, if we want a good result. This team has been together for a long time and I believe it will show maturity in the qualifications. In Kazakhstan, we will get a lower temperature, but these are factors that have to be overcome by quality preparations. All players have responded and hope to win in Kazakhstan.”

The BH national team players are heading for Astana on Wednesday. The match Kazakhstan - Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled on 21st October at 12:00 h.

Except of Kazakhstan, the women’s national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have the national teams of England, Russia and Wales as its opponents in a qualifying Group 1.
