FF Serbia youth football director Savo Milosevic and his associate Mitar Mrkela visited FFBIH today where they talked with general secretary Jasmin Bakovic and technical department director Denijal Piric about second Friendship tournament organization which is supposed to be held from 18th to 24th of May this year in Bijeljina.
Before the meeting, FFS and FFBIH representatives addressed the media:
Jasmin Bakovic: "The cooperation between two football federation continues - all regional football federations care about youth categories and this tournament is a confirmation of that. It will help young players on their way to becoming a professional footballers."
Denijal Piric: "We are glad to be a part of this traditional tournament. We're constantly taking affirmative actions towards football and give our contributions to quality work with young players."
Savo Milosevic: "We had FFBIH's maximum support last year, and I see we'll have it this year as well. We are doing a good thing here, and this Friendship tournament sends a clear message. UEFA recognized its importance meaning they will support us as well."
Mitar Mrkela: "The tournament will bring together best teams from the region and give young players a chance to thrive and make new friendships through football matches. In my career as a player, it meant a lot to me to be able to play important games, a opportunity we're giving back to promising new players."
Sixteen football teams, divided into four groups will compete in the upcoming tournament.
