Category: News

The women’s “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by England with 0:2 in Zenica today within the qualifications for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The guests threatened first in the 5th minute when Isobel Christiansen sent the ball from ten meters over the goal bar of Envera Hasanbegović. Melissa Lawley passed from the right side in the 31st minute and threw the ball into the penalty area of the BH team, where Ellen White was the highest in the jump, but Hasanbegović defended her attempt.

In the additional time of the first half, Steph Houghton tried with a free kick from about 25 meters, but she was not precise.

In the 47th minute, the referee Andromachi Tsiofliki showed another yellow card to Alex Greenwood for simulation, and our national team continued the match with one player more.

England came to advantage in the 56th minute. Lawley threw the ball from the right, and Toni Duggan on the other goal post sent the ball into the net for 0:1.

The BH national team also remained with 10 players in the field in 59th minute, because of the foul over Christiansen, when another yellow card was given to Amira Spahić.

Alisa Spahić shot well from twenty meters in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the goal.

The final result was set by Jodie Taylor from the penalty shot in the third minute of the additional time.
