WFC SFK 2000 Sarajevo won the first round of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers against Ramat Hasharon (ISR) yesterday at the stadium Otoka in Sarajevo 1-0.

At today's press conference, coach Samira Hurem expressed her satisfaction with the game: "The first match we played at this qualifying tournament was against a very difficult opponent. We had a good lineup and we were better. Now we have to repeat this approach in the match against Latvia's representative in order to achieve our goal."

Team member Azra Numanovic: "We knew it wasn't going to be easy because our group is very tough strong. Ramat is a good team, but we approached the match seriously and that worked. We were strong and decisive, and we didn't allow our opponent to create a serious opportunity.

We've made a good step towards 1/16th finals and now we must maintain this pace in the coming matches. Our next opponent is Rigas from Latvia and it's imperative we win and qualify for the next round."

Amela Krso: "We practiced intensively for these games, yesterday we were focused and did well. I had a good opportunity at the beginning when I didn't act fast, but it's important that we won. We're moving on because we still have to play two challenging games."

Second round match SFK 2000 Sarajevo Rigas SK is scheduled for tomorrow at 17.00 hours on the "island" in Sarajevo.
