The meeting regarding the European Sectoral Social Dialogue in the Professional Football Sector project was held today at the hotel Europe in Sarajevo, where the attendees analyzed the ongoing situation related to the standard players' contracts, refereeing issues, dispute resolution between players and clubs, and the overall cooperation between football interest groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
They had a very constructive and open dialogue, discussed all the issues, and in the end they reached the following conclusions:
- There's a good cooperation between football clubs and FFBIH on all issues;
- SPF BiH (The Union of Professional Football Players in Bosnia and Herzegovina) will be recognized as an equal partner to FFBIH and football clubs when it comes to talks on the issues relevant to the status of players;
- In order to consolidate the standard players' contracts with UEFA and European partners' minimum requirements, the dialogue will be intensified in the coming period, complemented by various work groups;
- In cooperation with UEFA, FFBIH will consolidate all required laws and regulations.
Representatives from Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FFBIH), European Club Association (ECA), European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL), World Players' Union (FIFPro), BH Telecom Premier League clubs with ECA membership (Željezničar, Sarajevo, Široki Brijeg), and The Union of Professional Football Players in Bosnia and Herzegovina attended this important meeting.
