FFBIH representatives, general secretary Jasmin Bakovic and staff secretary Elmir Pilav, who have stayed in Brazil for a past few days, returned to Sarajevo today.
After inspecting stadiums, training grounds and hotels in Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Cuiaba (where our team will play in the first round), they visited training camps in order to find the most suitable one for our whole team.
Bearing in mind that FIFA today opened registration for training camps applications, it was necessary to act quickly and select the proper destination where best BIH team will be located.
After internal consultation within FFBIH, the five-star hotel complex Casa Grande is selected, which lies about 100km from Sao Paolo and is located on the Atlantic ocean coast.
Casa Grande provides modern accomodation for our players, staff members and other FFBIH delegates. Training stadium is 5km away, and will be fully reconstructed and ready for 2014 World Cup.
According to FIFA's regulations, the team will travel from the training camp to the designated football match day or two earlier, and will return upon each match completion, all via charter flights.
The team is bound to arrive at the training camp at least five days prior to the first match (Rio de Janeiro, Argentina vs. BIH, June 15th 2014). The more detailed schedule will be defined at a later date.
