A new technical staff of the “A” national team presented at the press conference in Zenica

A press conference was held at the FF BH Training Centre in Zenica today, where Robert Prosinečki spoke about the upcoming obligations of the “A” national team of BH, and on which the complete technical staff of our best selection was presented.

Prosinečki said on the upcoming matches:

“We started preparing for matches in America yesterday and so far we had one training session. Šerbečić is allowed to leave the camp due to signing a contract with a foreign club and he will not appear in the upcoming matches. Unfortunately, another player will fall off the list. Medunjanin, Šehić and Kržić will join us in the USA.”

The head coach believes that the games with America and Mexico will be of benefit to our team:

“We have a talented U-21 generation of players that we invited for this action. These matches will be good to us, because young players will have two strong checks, and then we will see who can apply for the “A” national team in the Nations League. We will approach professionally and I believe that the players will show their quality and play quality games.”

The BH national team will find out the names of its opponents in the UEFA Nations League in two days. Robert Prosinečki said about the draw:

“All potential rivals are attractive and strong. It will be an interesting competition through which the qualification to EURO can be won. We have enough time to readily welcome the Nations League and, of course, we will approach these games very seriously.”

One of the assistants to the head coach Prosinečki will be Gordan Ciprić, who presented himself to the BH public today:

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to work in the technical staff of the BH national team. Ambitions are clear, and that’s going to the European Championship. We think that we have the quality to achieve this”, says Ciprić.

The coach in the technical staff is also Dragan Spasić, who, as Ciprić, has already cooperated with Robert Prosinečki. Spasić says on the new job:

“The first impressions are phenomenal and I’m glad I’m here. We all know what our goal is – qualification to a big competition and hopefully we will achieve it.”

Elvir Rahimić, who played for the best BH team for 40 matches, will also play a role in the technical staff.

“It's a great thing for me to be back with the national team. This time in another role, but this is a big step for us in our coaching careers. I expect that, with a serious work, we can achieve success and get to the next European Championship”, said Rahimić.

The goalkeepers will be coached by Kenan Hasagić, who in his playing career defended the net of our national team 44 times. Hasagić was also thrilled with the new job:

“It is an honour and a pleasure to be in the technical staff of the national team. As a player, I did not have the opportunity to take part in a big competition, but I hope to be as a coach. There is a lot of work ahead of us and we will have to make a lot of effort to achieve it.”

Tomorrow at 17:00 h, at the Training Camp, the national team will conduct a training session that will be open to the media representatives for the first 15 minutes.
