The 42nd Ordinary UEFA Congress was held

The 42nd Ordinary UEFA Congress was held today in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava.

The representatives of all 55 members associations of UEFA attended the Congress, where they were informed about the decisions of yesterday's meeting of the Executive Committee of the European umbrella football association.

The award fund for EURO 2020 participants was adopted, as well as the budget for the HatTrick V Solidarity and Development Program for the cycle from 2020 to 2024.

Regarding other decisions from today’s Congress, Juan Luis Larrea Sarobe from Spain was elected as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee with a one year term of office. Sándor Csányi from Hungary was elected as the FIFA Vice-President, also with a one year term of office.

Lars-Christer Olsson was elected as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee as a representative of the European Professional Football League (EPFL) with a term of office until 2021, i.e. until the next UEFA Elective Congress. The Jersey’s application for membership in UEFA was rejected.

The Congress adopted the reports of the UEFA President, the Executive Committee and the UEFA Administration for the season 2016/17, as well as the financial report 2016/17, and the budget for the season2017/18. The amendments to the UEFA Statutes were also adopted.

The delegation of the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Congress was composed of the President Elvedin Begić, the Second Vice-President Ivan Beus and General Secretary Jasmin Baković.

The next UEFA Congress will be held in Rome on 7th February 2019.
