Croatia took advantage in the 30th minute, when Anja Miočinović was faster than the BH defensive players, went out in front of the goalkeeper Larissa Bašić and sent the ball into the net.
BH came to a tie in the 38th minute. After a good action, Sofija Krajšumović assisted Fadila Mujkić who scored for 1:1.
The victory for the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was brought by Naida Haračić in the 79th minute. In the crowd in the penalty area, Krajšumović kicked, but she was blocked, the ball bounced back to Haračić who was precise from about 7 meters for 2:1.
After the match, the head coach Ilija Lucić stated: “Congratulations to the girls on their victory, but also to the players of Croatia on a good game. This was the first match of the new generation, but we have a lot of players who have already performed for the U-16 team and they brought the prevail. I believe we will play even better in the second match.”
In the second match of the group, Azerbaijan and Macedonia will play at 14:00 h.
The second round matches are scheduled for 20th April, when Macedonia-BH (10:30 h) and Croatia-Azerbaijan (14:00 h) will play at the Zenica Training Camp.
