New victory of the U-19 team

The BH U-19 team, after winning 3:0 two days ago, once again beat the peers from Macedonia in the Zenica Trening Centre today, this time with 1:0.

Amar Beganović threw the ball into the penalty area in the 3rd minute, where Edis Smajić tried with a head-kick, but Macedonia's goalkeeper David Denkovski caught the ball.

The Macedonians returned in the 13th minute, when Filip Boškovski tried to shoot from a distance, but Adnan Kanurić intervened well on the goal of the BH team.

The elects of Toni Karačić came to the advantage in the 20th minute. Nikola Kosanić freed of his guard and from twenty meters hit the left corner of the Denkovski for 1:0.

Nedim Hadžić kicked into the goalkeeper of Macedonia from ten meters in the 47th minute, and the guests missed the best chance in the 60th minute, when Mario Naumovski went alone in front of the goalkeeper Kanurić, who intervened greatly, so the result of 1:0 stayed.

Stefan Kovač shot strongly from 25 meters in the 75th minute, but Denkovski threw the ball into the corner. After the corner-kick, Rijad Sadiku tried from a convenient position, but the ball passed besides the left goalpost. It was the last chance at the match.

At the end of the match, the head coach Toni Karačić said: “In these two matches we saw two faces of both of our opponents and us. In the first match we dominated, while today Macedonia showed quality. It's good that we won, but we still have to work. I think that we are on the right track and that we will be ready for the qualifications and qualify to the elite round.”

The defender Rijad Sadiku said: “These were two good test matches with a quality opponent ahead of qualifications. We played the first game better. Today we missed several players, but I still think we showed a good game. We did what we needed and we will be ready for qualifications. We expect a difficult group there, but our goal is to pass into the next round.”
