The BH women’s U-17 team began qualifications with a defeat

Today, the women’s U-17 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated in the Ethno Village Stanišići from Poland with 0:4 in the first round of group 6 of the elite round for the European Women’s U-17 Championship.

The Polish players come to the advantage in the 9th minute. Paulina Tomasiak takes the left wing, goes into the penalty area of the BH team and hits the net for 0:1.

Poland had another chance at the 16th minute after the corner kick, but Oliwia Silny did not get the ball in the best way. Two minutes later, the BH team had a chance after the corner kick, after the Polish goalkeeper dropped the ball, but the away team’s defenders managed to eliminate the danger.

Alma Krajnić and Sajra Fejzić neither reacted well in the 22nd minute, after a mistake of the Polish defence.

The Poland’s advantage was doubled in the 24th minute. The goalkeeper Iman Šljivo makes a foul over Kinga Kozak in the penalty area and the referee awarded a penalty shot, which was realised by Adriana Achinska.

Alexis Legowski had the last chance in the first half, but Šljivo defended her attempt on the right side.

The first chance in the second half had the BH team, but a shot of Sajra Fejzić from the edge of the penalty area was defended by Sara Kierul. Kozak had also her chance on the other side in the 65th minute, but her attempt from about ten meters was defended by Šljivo.

The third goal was scored by Poland in the 72nd minute. Tomasiak went on to the left and played a return ball for Paulina Filipczak, who scored from ten meters for 3:0.

Final 4:0 sets Agnieszka Glinka in the 4th minute of the additional time.

At the end of the match, the head coach Ilija Lucić said: “Congratulations to the Polish players for a deserved victory. We did not realise our opportunities. Injury of our captain Ajla Zukić also disturbed us, so the only thing left is to prepare ourselves for the next match and try to achieve better result.”

In the second group match, Austria and Turkey played 0:0. The second round matches are scheduled for 22nd March at 15:00 h, as follows: Austria-BH (Ethno Village Stanišići) and Poland-Turkey (Ugljevik).
