The FF BH work during the pandemic

Category: News

Recently, after the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters issued new orders to mitigate measures of protection against virus epidemics in the FB&H, the FF BH is intensely undertaking some preparatory activities for the possible continuation of the training process and playing of the BHT PL B&H matches, when conditions are met.

The general secretary of the Federation, Adnan Džemidžić, explains that, despite the pandemic caused by COVID-19, there have been no significant delays in the work of the General Secretariat and Administration of the FF BH.

“In accordance with the proclamation of the state of natural disaster in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adopted by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 17th March, the FF BH Administration has implemented all ordered measures, recommendations and decisions of the competent authorities, and has carried out all necessary procedures in order to protection of employee health.

The work of the FF BH General Secretariat was carried out without interruption, and the working hours were in accordance with the decision of the relevant state bodies. We primarily made sure that all employees with children under the age of 6 stayed at home, and the smooth workflow was facilitated by online communication. Other employees were assigned on a periodic basis, that is, the employees were coming to work according to a set schedule. Although the number of the FF BH employees was reduced during this period, the capacity of work and the fulfilment of obligations were not diminished at any moment. On the contrary, they worked on a permanent basis and remained in the workplace until the task was completely fulfilled.”

General secretary Adnan Džemidžić emphasizes: “In order for the FF BH to readily welcome a return to the regular work process, necessary steps have been taken to prepare for the continuation of the league competition and its organisation, which will require a high degree of mobility for all staff members of the General Secretariat’s administration. There have been meetings with BHT Premier League clubs, and tomorrow we have another video conference. The video meetings and conferences of the committees and commissions of the FF BH were successful, and last week we also held a meeting of the FF BH Executive Board. We all quickly got used to this way of work, through video conferences, and seminars for officials participating in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina were held in the same way. All these activities are undertaken in order to continue the competition in a quality manner, which will surely be held in special conditions and without the presence of the spectators. Emerging circumstances oblige us to be patient and careful at all times, because only in this way can we preserve the health of all participants in the organisation of the competition under the auspices of the FF BH.

As an institution that has set high professional standards, I must say that we have submitted to the respective ministries a working version of the proposed measures and procedures for the possible continuation of the training sessions and playing matches of the BHT PL B&H, when conditions are created and when the competent state and entity bodies make decisions on mitigating the measures currently in place.

Last week, a meeting was held with representatives of the FB&H Ministry of Health, and we expect that a similar meeting will be held soon with representatives of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.”
