The BH national team’s goalkeeper, Asmir Begović, will have a difficult task against Belgium. Something has certainly been learned from past mistakes and all thoughts are turned towards Belgium at this moment.

Regardless of the fact that this is an extremely strong opponent, our goalkeeper is optimistic about the upcoming duel:

“I believe in our triumph, especially with our spectators, who will be a wind in our back. We play better at home field and I am optimistic before this match, which is our test of all tests.

Belgium is one of the strongest teams in the world, having such a large selection of players, which is truly fascinating. Lukaku, Fellaini, Mertens, they are all great in their teams and we only have to prove on the pitch that we also have the quality to deal with the best players in the world and to try to enter three points with which we would rejoice the whole nation, and ourselves above all, because that victory also means a lot to us.”

How much the fact, that the match is played in Sarajevo, in the Grbavica Stadium, and not in the “Bilino Polje” in Zenica, will affect the mood in our team, Begović says:

“Frankly, I'm looking forward to the match at the Grbavica Stadium. Zenica has been a home for our team for years, and we greatly feel and play there. “Grbavica” should be a great substitute. I believe the spectators will come in a large multitude, because everyone knows how much this match means to us. In addition, a large number of players from our team began their career at Grbavica, as well as the head coach, Mehmed Baždarević himself. I am convinced that they will also have one more motive in this game. After all, we are all aware of what three points against Belgium would mean for us, which would bring us closer to the FIFA World Cup in Russia; and this is a great motive for us, because this is also a great opportunity for our generation to qualify to the Mundial once again.”
