Following media reports regarding ticket distribution for the Romania vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina match, FFBiH President Vico Zeljković issued a statement:
"Regarding the information circulating in the public about fan tickets for the upcoming match against Romania, I’d like to clarify a few facts.
The Federation hasn’t banned anyone from buying tickets. The fan group ‘BH Fanatikos’ has already purchased 868 tickets online for the stand where they traditionally support the team, so it’s simply not true that they were denied access.
Yesterday and today, we also resolved the matter concerning the groups ‘Ljuti Krajišnici’ and ‘Ljuti Krajišnici 2013’, who successfully bought their tickets as well.
Interest was extremely high - thousands of requests were submitted, far exceeding the stadium’s capacity and objectively complicating the ticket allocation process.
A new group, ‘BH Hooligans’, also submitted a request for a certain number of tickets and was granted the opportunity to purchase a portion. Whether they’ll coordinate with other groups is their internal matter, and the Federation won’t interfere.
I want to emphasize that ‘BH Fanatikos’, despite having their own views towards the Federation or me personally, which they’re entitled to of course, have never been prevented from attending matches, and that hasn’t changed this time.
Unfortunately, their past behavior has caused the FFBiH significant financial damage - fines totaling around one million KM (1.000.000 BAM) have been paid due to incidents at matches. While this doesn’t revoke their right to criticize the Federation or me personally, the facts about the damage and responsibility are clear.
The Federation has already set clear conditions and sanctions for inappropriate behavior in the stands. A major incident or disturbance could result in a ban on fan attendance at future matches, including games played behind closed doors.
Sadly, inaccurate and one-sided reports in the media are creating unnecessary tension. I won’t comment on who’s behind these spins or their motives, but I will say the Federation remains open to dialogue with all fan groups.
Our doors are always open, but that dialogue must be based on facts, mutual respect, and accountability - not on unverified claims and media pressure."
