Today, the U-19 team of Bosnia and Herzegovina won Macedonia with 3:0 in a friendly match in Zenica.
Smajić had a good chance already in the 3rd minute, but from about 10 meters he sent the ball above the goal. After that, there was no chance until the 27th minute, and then the BH team performed an excellent action, which was finished with a goal scored by Edis Smajić. The attacker of FK Sloboda was precise from ten meters to the left of the opposing penalty area.
Benjamin Hadžić made a free kick from the right in the 34th minute, but the ball shot the defensive wall and bounced beside the goalpost of Velkovski.
Two minutes later, Beganović tried from the distance, but a Macedonian goalkeeper throws the ball into the corner. Danilović tried similarly in the 44th minute, but Velkovski was again up to his task.
Kosanić made a right-corner kick in the 55th minute, and captain Čeliković was the highest in the jump, sending the ball past the goal.
Ten minutes later, two Hadžić took in the BH team performed a good action. Benjamin assisted Nedim, whose defensive shot on the right was defended by Velkovski.
The advantage of the BH team was doubled in the 72nd minute. Benjamin Hadžić went to the right and played a return ball on the edge of the penalty area, where Macedonian defender did not manage properly to react, which was used by Nedim Hadžić sending the ball from 15 meters into the net.
Nedim Hadžić had another chance in the 77th minute, when he came alone in front of Velkovski, but he shot over the goal.
The substitute player Brzović had a chance in the 82nd minute, when he tried to shot with head from 8 meters, but was not precise.
The final result was set by Rondić with a great hit from 16 meters in the 90th minute.
At the end of the match, the head coach Karačić said: “Congratulations to the guys on a good game. I am glad of the victory, but there is still room for improvement. We need to control the game better. The opponent did not give his maximum today and we looked much better than them. I am satisfied with the result, but there is still a lot of work there.”
The same teams will play the second match in the Zenica Training Centre on 19th October at 15:00 h.
