The head coach Toni Karačić says about this gathering:
“The preparations are specific, because some players will join us only in Denmark. With the team members, who came to the Ethno Village, we will conduct 4 training sessions before going to Silkeborg, in order to be very well prepared for the qualifying tournament. In comparison to the first qualifying round, we will not be able to count on injured Riad Sadiku and Nikola Kosanić, as well as suspended Vladan Danilović.”
Karačić says about opponents:
“There are no weak teams in the elite round. We watched the matches of our opponent and it is obvious that these are quality teams. Currently, our focus is on the Danish team with which we will play the first match. It’s a team that has been playing together for a long time, since the younger selections. They are taller, giving them the advantage at breaks. We will do our best to prepare for this match that will be very demanding.”
In addition to Denmark, the opponents of the BH U-19 team in the tournament will be Austria and Turkey, and our country will be represented in the qualifications by the following players:
Adnan Kanurić (Deutz 05, Germany), Jusuf Gazibegović (Red Bull Salzburg, Austria), Amar Beširević (Željezničar), Jasmin Čeliković (Rijeka, Croatia), Enio Zilić (Željezničar), Halid Šabanović (Sarajevo), Ševkija Resić (Sarajevo), Edis Smajić (Sloboda), Nedim Hadžić (Leixoes, Portugal), Stefan Santrač (Crvena Zvezda, Serbia), Benjamin Hadžić (Stuttgart, Germany), Elvin Kovač (Freiburg, Germany), Imad Rondić (Slavia Praha, Czech Republic), Alen Mustafić (Sarajevo), Stefan Kovač (Crvena Zvezda, Serbia), Anel Šabanadžović (Željezničar), Amar Ćatić (PSV Eindhoven, the Netherlands), Demirel Veladžić (Leixoes, Portugal), Luka Knežević (Široki Brijeg), Amir Velić (Željezničar).
